You’re in for an unforgettable weekend. Gin-uary is held at the iconic Princes Wharf No. 1 (PW1) right on Hobart’s vibrant waterfront — just steps away from Salamanca Place, Battery Point, and the city centre. The location couldn’t be more convenient: stroll along the docks, take in the mountain backdrop, and enjoy Tasmania’s freshest produce, spirits, and culture all within easy reach.

While Gin-uary is the highlight of your trip, make the most of your time in Hobart:

  • Explore MONA  the world-renowned Museum of Old and New Art is a must, just a scenic ferry ride up the Derwent River. The ferry departs just a short walk from the festival.

  • Indulge in local flavours – Hobart is home to some of Australia’s best seafood, distilleries (obviously!), and restaurants. Treat yourself to a long lunch on the waterfront or head up into the hills for a vineyard experience.

  • Take in the views — drive or tour up kunanyi / Mount Wellington for breathtaking panoramas of the city, harbour, and beyond. But remember, drinking gin and driving don’t mix – so save that for another day.
